Handicapped Animal Stamp

Description

I love handicapped animals... because they need love too!
It's not their fault for the injury or birth defect...! @,@
I feel bad for good-hearted animals to be left because of a cosmetic or physical problem (hoping it can function without pain)... ;_;

I use to collect 1-eyed fish, because I couldn't stand to think of them being eaten to death by the other fish... Maybe in nature it's ok because... you know, survival of the fittest is good for the gene pool, but as for pets, I find it cruel.

Gir and Funyun were actual fish with personality! I never thought a fish could have that. He (Gir) was also narcoleptic too... Honest to God's truth, and I have witnesses. He would eat too much and float, upside-down to the top... I thought he was dead. Funyun came over, poked him, he woke up, and continued on their way.

He also cuddled any new fish. This gave me the impression that he was annoying to the other fish, so they bit his eye off... Funyun was your average fish who didn't mind Gir.

The dog in the stamp is not mine, I'm going to replace it once I get my new special needs conure! Hoping I get the conure.
The ASPCA have to visit my place before they hand over the animal which I respect.

I hope that won't be a problem. *Sigh* Everyone pray for meh! Well wishing's nice too!

Update: The Wildlife Care Center approved of me taking Clifford! He's a very sweet bird. He has trouble perching, but he's good at hanging for some reason.
If you pet the back of his neck, his feather puff up on his head (this is typical), then he aften falls asleep.
He doesn't mind being wrapped up in a blankey... oh, and the sound he makes.... SO CUTE!

This stamp is pretty old. Crazy to reflect back on it.
Upon Clifford's passing, I turned the sorrow into joy and started up No Feather Left Behind Avian Rescue and have aided 20 birds in finding forever homes.

I currently have a senior, cuddley lovebird named Chickadee
a splay legged (like Clifford) lovebird named Cody
Pako the conure with aspergilliosis (under control)
and Mikey whom was adopted from my old Vet Clinic formerly with a broken wing.

Georgie and Louie were 2 special need birds that blessed my life, but do to their age and ailments, they have passed away.

I do not mourn their passing long because I try to focus on the love I was able to give them, because in the end all you can do is love them.

Me too! I've always said that I wanted to adopt a disabled cat since an emotional event at a vet that I was doing work experience at. This little ginger kitten had been run over and couldn't move his legs...I WANTED to have that kitten, but we had a full house and, to make matters worse and depressing, when I asked how the kitten was doing a about a week later, I was told that the poor thing was PUT DOWN! They said that it couldn't be saved! Did they even TRY to save it??!! We need a stamp that says: "Don't put animals down without attempting to save their lives"!!
Happily, my aunt has a three legged Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and she's an absolute treasure! I love her so much!
